Time Trial News
David Miller and Peter Flick were present at the Freuchie Midweek Series last Wednesday in Fife for the 25 Mile TT.
A tough night with a strong northerly, meaning the first 8 miles were into a headwind. There would be no records broken, mind when isn’t it windy in Scotland?
Peter Flick finished in 8th with a time of 1:01:42, only 30 seconds off his PB, a surprising result considering the lack of time trialling this year, WADA are on the case.
David Miller completed the course in 1:03:40 finishing in 17th place.
The Scottish 50 Mile TT Championships were held yesterday in Fourdon, Laurencekirk.
RG McLean was the sole representative for the club finishing in 24th place with a time of just 36 seconds over the 2 hour mark.
RG has done better recently clocking 1:56 at the Alastair Speed Memorial 50TT so he’ll be no doubt be looking to another event soon to get back on track.
Up next is the Dundee 10TT out at David Lloyd on Tuesday 14th July. Race starts at 7. A number of club members are set to take the line.
