Following the success of last year, the SXC has asked us to hold another round of this years series at Balmashanner, Forfar. To keep the ‘trimming & strimming’ to a minimum, we asked for round 1, which we have got, so please pencil sunday 17th March in your diaries. Any/all help appreciated with marshalling during the event.
Forfar, Fyrish in the Highlands, The new Commenwealth course at Cathkin Braes, Drumlanrig & the Scottish champs at Kirroughtree are the venues this year.
I’ll keep you all posted nearer the time.

Peter – not sure where that is but probably not far away, but head for the monument overlooking Forfar.
I’ll try & get an exact postcode before next Sunday for the parking.March 13, 2013 at 9:24 pm #898
Hi all – i’ve posted the following on the SXC forum, but thought i’d post here for info –
Ok folks – 3 days to go, the course still has a little snow, but overall its dry and riding well 🙂
Re parking – postcode for this year is DD8 2LE. This is at the rear of the course, and should be much better than last year!
If dry, we are using a flat grass field adjacent to the course.
If wet, we are using the farm yard approx 200 yards further away.
The farmer has been very accomodating so please park sensibly, do not leave litter, wheelspin in the field etc!
Directions – coming from Dundee take the 1st turning off the dual carriageway into Forfar (signposted Arbroath!)then after approx 200 yards turn right (signposted Lour & Ladenford). Follow this road for approx 1 mile then take road on left (signposted Craignathro & Balmashanner). Stay on this road for approx 1 mile and you’ll come to the field/farm yard/start-finish area. Hopefully ‘fish’ will bring the SXC signs so nobody gets lost 🙂
We do not have the use of the field on the saturday, so please park sensibly if pre-riding the course!March 15, 2013 at 12:05 am #900joet63Member

Well done on putting on a good event guys, the riders seemed to enjoy it. I hope the sxc got the results sorted out. To be fair the weather was way better than I expected.
