I was at the SC Roadshow at Discovery Quay Dundee last night. The main discussion was the Strategic Business and Governace Review and was well presented by the new CEO Craig Burn. He has a vision for modernising the organisation and the regional roadshows are part of consultation process for change for the whole organisation. Whilst he may have a vision it’s vital the the organisation is supported by cyclists, not just competitive riders and does more for their benefit in general.
What would have been useful are the views of non members and those who used to be members but are now no longer. These views are vital if the organisation in the future is to grow, appeal to all cyclists and is one that these people feel proud to be part of.
So, what I’m looking for are the views of club members who fit the criteria above. Keep them relevant and concise and I’ll collate and forward on to SC by the end of the month. I don’t need moans and complaints (if they really mattered you would have made the effort to turn up at the consultation). I need suggestions, ideas and perhaps innovations that will grow the organisation, it’s membership and what SC can do to help and benefit these members.
