That’s the new clubkit just about signed off – one small matter to finalise and then I can “approve” it. So here’s how it is going to work:
Anyone who joins the club by 15th February 2013 will get a free SS Tech Jersey – cost £44.10 (inc VAT and delivery).
The Club will pay the VAT and delivery on the first order – what you see on the price list is what you pay
No club points to be used for first order as it will complicate matters, but I have asked for the points systen to be reviewed to make it more member-friendly, so it should have a benefit in the longer run.
Orders to be sumbitted to me by 22nd February 2013, which will allow me to get the final order submitted and paid during the last week in February – turnaround to delivery is about 5 weeks so that should mean we get it by the end of March 2013.
I have sizing samples as follows – Medium SS club cut jersey, Small SS women’s cut jersey, XL LS club cut jersey, Medium mens binshorts with endurance pad, Small women’s bibshort with performance pad, XL mens bibshorts with performance pad. I shall bring them to turbo on Monday night and also make arrangements for them to be available at Steve’s shop from Tuesday of next week for a few days. Until then if anyone wants to make alternative arrangements to try them on just get in touch – I can sort out Forfar or Arbroath. I shall also have options for trying on once I get the samples back from Steve. I have to have the returned to Champion by 22.02.13.
For the first order (this may change for future orders) I am going to co-ordinate it so please submit your order to me along with payment – no cheques will be cashed until the order is submitted. I shall confirm everyone’s order re sizing and cut and zip/chamois options before submitting. Details on Champion website are clear re what options are available re cut, zip length, chamois options, but if you are unsure just ask on here or send me an e-mail or message on FB.
Members are responsible for what they order, the club will not “take back” any kit – if you have ordered something and it does not fit, then you’ll have to either lose weight, put on weight or find someone to take it off your hands!
So, as of now you can go onto their site, decide what you want and let me know!February 6, 2013 at 11:43 pm #831Alex PattisonMember

Now that the basic designs for top and shorts are all sorted, I have also asked for proofs for 3/4s, biblongs, and skinsuit as well as cycling cap – all of which I have had requests for. The minimum order for caps is 10 if accompanying a clothes order, so if you want one just let me know – £7 each.
Once I get the proofs and approve them I’ll get Mark to post them on the Club Kit page.
I see form entry central that a few more people have joined the club this week 🙂February 9, 2013 at 12:27 pm #847AnonymousInactive
I have approved the proofs for longs and cap, slight amendment required for skinsuit – I shall send longs and cap design to Mark later today and then forward the skinsuit once it has been amended, so look on the Club Kit tab if you want to see them.February 11, 2013 at 10:36 pm #851AnonymousInactive
Skinsuit design approved and sent to Mark – I spoke to him tonight after turbo and he’ll update Club Kit page as soon as he can.
The sizing samples will be available as of tomorrow in Arbroath, Euan is going to drop them off at Steve’s shop, and I’ll leave them there until next Monday.February 13, 2013 at 11:46 pm #857AnonymousInactive
Can I ask that everyone looks closely at the options for different bits of kit – zip lengths, materials, chamois, etc and let me know when they order the exact details required – it’ll save me loads of time and pestering you for details by e-mail. If I have to send e-mails to everyone to clarify then it might result in the order being delayed. I dinnae want people think they are ordering one thing and get something else!!
I have decided that the free SS top will be short zip and club cut for men and womens cut for women – unless you tell me you want something different!February 16, 2013 at 12:05 am #860AnonymousInactive
Only an hour to go til the end of the free SS top offer – membership has gone up by more than 100% in the past 2 weeks (even excluding family membership which I know a few people have opted for, so even better) <enter thumbs up smiley which does not exist>
Orders are coming in really well, almost ok numbers for cycling caps (I have amended the design at the request of a poncey MTBer who wanted ABC on the underside of the peak – you know who you are! – which looks better and dude-ish) but I could do with a couple more to make it feasible, it’s only 7 quid!!
Even if you only want the free SS top, get in touch and let me know size, zip length, and cut <club, race, woman>. If you dinnae order now then it will be a pain in the bahooky as I want to open up personal order facility for future orders.February 16, 2013 at 9:13 am #862Mike MMember
JF – u putting a ‘cut off’ date for orders?February 16, 2013 at 12:54 pm #863AnonymousInactive
Yes, see my first post – orders to me by 22nd February.February 17, 2013 at 11:13 am #867Simon FrostMember
John, I know there has to be a price list somewhere? but where? Do the cheques have to be with you by 22nd? If so I’m dddddone because I’m not back in Brechin until the next week, ‘spose I could get Jill to send you the cheque, she is in Brechin. Sorry to be such an idiot, I’m sure it is a simple process!

Hi Simon the website can be found at http://www.champ-sys.co.uk/ and has a pdf of prices and also prices are listed next to each item.
I would prefer cheques are all recieved prior to me submitting the order, even if I know they are in the post then that will do!
Can I also ask that when everyone submits their order to me that they include the FREE SS jersey in the order – otherwise how am I to know what size, cut and zip you want? Just say something like “FREE SS jersey – large, full zip, club cut” and then list the rest of the order. If you let me know whether you will be sending a cheque by post or hand delivering it to me; if by post then I shall then reply with my address.February 18, 2013 at 2:34 pm #869AnonymousInactive

**FINAL REMINDER – THE DEADLINE FOR ORDERING CLUB KIT IS FRIDAY 22.02.13. ANY ORDERS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. NO EXCEPTIONS.**February 23, 2013 at 3:50 pm #878AnonymousInactive
That’s the order gathering process nearly over and done with! Just a couple of small queries to sort out from a few people and then I can get on with placing the order. A good response for the first order – membership numbers on entry central have risen from 11 to 32 plus a few other family memberships received as well – and 28 members have ordered a free SS jersey, with 17 cycling caps and an additional 43 “main” items of clothing also being ordered. I’ll keep you up to date re delivery schedule as I am made aware of it.
We’ll have to arrange for a photoshoot once the kit arrives and get a bit of publicity in the ‘papers!
