    Hello All Club Members

The winter has arrived and as we all know the ABC Monikie Winter Duathlons
are upon us, The support I got last year was great, as I am not here for the first race, and I will leave you in the capable hands of John Bremner, I would like the support that I got last year to continue, We have also brought in Chip Timing which should put less pressure on Marshalls but we still need to keep some sort of back up timing,
Please e-mail John if you can help on the Sunday 8th December its worth helping Just for the Soup and a Roll. The location for the Race Registration has changed there is a new Green building in the car parking area as you enter the car park turn left and you can’t miss it.

John will need some assistance at 0900 to mark out the Run Route and transition area, please e-mail John if you can turn up at 0900.

    Registration starts 09:30
    Race Starts 11:00
    soup and roll from 1130

John will push out another e-mail closer to the time, could someone place a notice on the club forum for race Marshalls I am still waiting of a log in details.

It’s only a short event two laps of the North Lake and one lap of the Bike Route

    Many Thanks all

    Regards

    Steph

Well done RG and Peter on 1st and 4th today. Great results. The new sign on HQ seemed to work fine and will improve with a little refining.
Thanks to the helpers, though it would have been nice to see more ABC CC numbers there, those on point waiting for the tail-enders to appear could have done with someone to spell them out of that biting wind. It was touch and go till a sickly Anna H showed up. C’mon folks!

Round 2 Sunday 12 January, 11am kick off. Marshals meet at 10.15. Steph back at the helm.

Thanks John, good race. Chip timing worked well.

I agree, be good to get the marshal numbers up for the next race, if it wasn’t for the non ABC members helping we would have been struggling. I’ll see if I can get some family members involved for the next round seeing as I’m racing!

Happy to help after the race to tidy up as I did for the last one.
