I wasnae expecting that! 19 out this morning, a good size of group to get shelter from that stiff wind. After the split at Ballumbie we should have stuck together. 2 quickfire punctures followed by a forensic examination of the tyre held up the group heading over Lumley Den in reverse for quite a while. That coupled with almost coming to a standstill into a channelled headwind at the top of Lumley had me wishing that I’d tackled the south side of Carrot instead. Still the tailwind home healed things.
Great to see everybody out, maybe next time we’ll have 2 groups from the start?
Newbie Alan, 67 years of age, maybe picked the wrong day to come on a group ride for the first time.
What’s the plans next weekend?
