Quite a few results to catch up on recently from our ever busy club members. I may have missed some, if so let me know!
Up first was the Dundee Wheelers 10TT at Ethiebeaton on Tuesday 16th August. Myself, Stewart Irving and Pam Irving were in attendance from Angus Bike Chain. Stewart had a cracking time of 22:48 to finish in 8th place, I finished in 14th in a time of 23:31, Pam rounded off the trio with an excellent 26:37 for 34th place.
Thursday 18th saw Nico Anelli, Neil Raitt and I travel up over the Cairn O’ Mount to Midmar in Aberdeenshire for the final round of the Grampian Road Race Series. The race was controlled well by Deeside Thistle looking after their man Tim Mackley who broke away early on with one other on the 56km course. Nico (36th) and I (17th) had difficulty getting away from the bunch and eventually finished in the sprint. Neil lost touch with the group after the first lap of three and battled through the race doing a 2UP with another member of Deeside.

Onto the Scottish 100 Mile TT Champs, Ingrid Kidd was the sole representative for ABC at the event, details are very scarce on this one however we are assured Ingrid came a fantastic 2nd. Ingrid completed the course in a cracking 4h34mins, posting 2h09mins for the 50 miles, ouch! Rumour has it that Ingrid was also down south competing in the Masters Road Race Champs in Aylesbury in August posting a very respectable 9th in her category. Quite how she juggles these events with looking after her family and work commitments is beyond all of us!
Finally at the weekend David Hill was competing at the 10@Kirroughtree, 10 brutal hours around a tough 10 mile or so course posting as many laps as possible. David came in 4th overall in the solo category with a time of 10hr33mins covering 8 laps in that time. Rather him than me most of us are saying! Top effort. Results here.
